By installing or using Kinda, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.
Kinda is a Chrome browser extension that translates user-submitted text between languages, adapting formality register, grammatical gender agreement, and idiom to the cultural context you specify. Translations are generated by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, not by a human translator. Kinda does not guarantee translations are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any particular purpose, including legal, medical, business, or official use. If accuracy matters, for example a contract, a medical instruction, or an official document, verify the translation with a qualified human translator before relying on it.
Kinda is intended for users aged 16 and over. You must confirm this during setup before you can use the extension. See our Privacy Policy §9 for details on this self-attested age requirement and its limitations.
You agree not to use Kinda to translate, generate, or otherwise process text that:
Kinda automatically detects and blocks requests in these categories before they are translated, and blocked requests are logged for monitoring purposes. Repeated or severe violations of this section may result in suspension or termination of your access to Kinda without refund.

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. Kinda never receives or stores your card details. We may change Pro pricing for future billing periods; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice before the change takes effect for your subscription.
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time, from inside the extension: open Settings → Kinda Pro, which opens a secure Stripe-hosted page where you can cancel, update your payment method, or view past invoices. No email or support request required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Pro access until then, and you will not be charged again afterward.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If you are unhappy with Kinda Pro for any reason, contact us at support@trykinda.com within 14 days of your most recent charge and we will refund that charge in full. This applies regardless of where you live; we do not limit it to any particular region's legal minimum.
Refunds outside this 14-day window are at our discretion. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges, but it does not by itself refund a charge already billed. Request a refund separately within the window above if you want one.
Kinda is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that translations will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. Kinda relies on Anthropic's Claude API; outages, changes, or errors on Anthropic's side may affect Kinda's availability or output, and are outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maxime Vigneron will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kinda, including but not limited to reliance on a translation's accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability arising from fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kinda if you violate Section 4 (Acceptable Use) or otherwise misuse the service, including attempts to circumvent the free-tier usage limit. You may stop using Kinda at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if applicable, cancelling your Pro subscription as described in Section 6.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where the change is significant, notify users via the extension. Continued use of Kinda after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement, including applicable rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
